MESQUITE, Texas. The Marshals has re-signed RB Mon Williams and QB Kolton Browning to the Marshals 2017 roster.

Browning (QB, 6-2, 215, University of Louisiana–Monroe) rejoins the Marshals for his 2nd CIF season and second in Dallas. Last season Last season, Kolton competing in 10 regular season games for the Marshals. He finished the season with 127 completions on 240 attempts 14 INT’s 1319 yards and 34 TD’s. He also had 87 carriers for 534 yards 9 TD’s.

Browning was briefly invited to training camp with the Dallas Cowboys, but was never officially signed. He later signed with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL, but was released soon afterwards to pursue a coaching opportunity. In October 2014, Browning signed with the Brooklyn Bolts of the new formed Fall Experimental Football League (FXFL).

After being redshirted in 2009, Browning took over as the Warhawks starting quarterback in 2010. In 2012, he was the Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Year and led the Warhawks to their first ever bowl game against Ohio University in the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana. During his career he threw for 10,263 yards and 81 touchdowns. He finished his career with most TD passes and is second in passing yards, completions, and attempts at ULM.

Williams (RB, 6-2, 240, Eastern Illinois University/University of Florida) rejoins the Marshals for his 2nd CIF season and second in Dallas. Last season, Mon competing all 11 regular season games for the Marshals. He finished the season with 84 carriers for 274 yards 5 TD’s and 24 catches for 214 yards and 1 TD.

Williams played his collegiate career at Eastern Illinois University/University of Florida and player with the Seattle Seahawks in 2011.

Eastern Illinois University 2010 (Senior): Was rated one of top ten backs in FCS by Sports Network to open the season... suffered a knee injury in fall camp which limited his action... returned to action on Sept. 18 against UT Martin and started four games... ended season with 87 yards at Illinois State including a season long 71-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage... finished year with 209 yards to become the 24th player in EIU history to crack 1,000 yards rushing for their career (finished with 1,079)... scored three rushing touchdowns on the season... 2009 (Junior): Appeared in all 12 games as the main running back for EIU getting nine starts based on the offensive set used to open the game… had back-to-back 100-yard games against Indiana State (113) and Southeast Missouri (119) as he won OVC Newcomer of the Week honors against Indiana State… finished year with 870 yards rushing to rank 3rd in the OVC and 40th in the NCAA… finished season with a 107 yard game against Southern Illinois in the FCS playoffs… lone multiple touchdown game was a two-score effort at Indiana State… nine rushing touchdowns ranked him 9th in the OVC in scoring… also caught five passes for 29 yards… second team All-OVC selection and OVC All-Newcomer team... transferred from Florida for 2009 spring semester.

University of Florida: Three year member of University of Florida team including two National Championship teams... appeared in one game in 2008 with one rushing attempt for two yards against Hawai'i... suffered a torn ACL in 2007 spring practice and redshirted... appeared in eight games in 2006 as a true freshman... had 101 yards on the season including a 95-yard game in win over Western Carolina.
